The most important feature of the Crossflow turbines is that they can provide high efficiency at variable output.
The pressure at the outlet can be designed in the desired systems. The turbine type is changed to Francis, and desired energy can be supplied at the exit. The effect of water hammer should be controlled in such HEPP projects.
